Our projections had Darius Acuff Jr. down for fewer than two made threes a game, and on Saturday the Kings rookie went 9-for-14 from deep in Saturday's 136-105 loss at Memphis and finished with 38 points on 12-for-25 shooting, five rebounds and five assists, 21 of the points coming in the first half, according to ESPN's recap and box score. Two nights earlier he scored 34 in a 132-120 loss at New Orleans, which ESPN called the most of his young career, so a week after the conversation about Acuff was about how many shots he was taking, he has 72 points in his last two games.
