Terms & Conditions

League Winner provides fantasy basketball rankings, tools and analysis. That currently means our rankings boards, Draft Hacker, Trade Winner, The Weekly Slate, the Rankings Game, our Chrome extension and our community Discord. Which tools exist will change as we build, and the pricing page is always the current list.

Everything we publish is opinion and analysis for entertainment purposes. We don't guarantee you'll win your league, and nothing on the Service is betting, financial or professional advice. League Winner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the NBA, ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, Fantrax, or any team or player.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• One account per person. Keep your password or your Google sign-in secure, and don't share your login with anyone else.
• You're responsible for activity on your account, and the details you give us (like your email) must be accurate.

The Service has a free tier and a paid tier ("League Winner Pro"). What's included in each tier is described on our pricing page and may change over time as we improve the product.

Founding members. If you joined our founding-member waitlist before launch, you receive full Pro access free for the 2026-27 NBA season, ending on 20 June 2027. After that, standard pricing applies unless we tell you otherwise.

• Pricing. Pro is available as a monthly subscription or a one-time season pass, at the prices shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details.
• Renewal. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel.
• What the season pass covers. The season pass is a one-time payment that does not auto-renew and is not a permanent licence. It gives you Pro access for the 2026-27 NBA season, ending on 20 June 2027, which is the same date founding member access ends. If you want Pro after that, you buy it again or subscribe monthly.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime through your account. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again.
• Refunds. We don't offer refunds for change of mind, partial use of a billing period, or dissatisfaction with features, except where the law requires us to. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 5).
• Billing issues. If you think you've been charged incorrectly, contact us at hello@leaguewinnernba.com before raising a dispute with your bank. Chargebacks filed without contacting us first may result in suspension of your account while we investigate.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the Service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy, including a refund, resupply or compensation, regardless of anything else in these Terms.

You agree not to:

• use bots, scrapers, crawlers or any automated tool to access or extract data from the Service;
• copy, resell, republish or redistribute our rankings, projections or data, or use them to build or power a competing product;
• share, lend or sell your account access;
• attempt to reverse engineer our tools, models or data structures;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

If you breach this section we may terminate your account immediately without refund, and we reserve the right to pursue any loss this causes us.

Our tools can connect to your fantasy leagues on platforms like ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper and Fantrax. By syncing a league, you confirm you're authorised to connect that account and you give us permission to access and process your league data (rosters, scoring settings, transactions) to power your tools and personalised analysis. You can disconnect a synced league at any time.

Synced league data is used to provide the Service to you, with one exception that we would rather state here than leave you to discover. Completed trades from synced Sleeper leagues, which Sleeper publishes openly, feed an anonymous trade history that all Pro members can see. It records the players and the shape of the league and no names at all. Section 5 of our Privacy Policy explains it in full, including how to keep your league out of it.

Platform credentials. A private ESPN league has no authorisation flow, so connecting one means giving us two of your own ESPN cookies. You do that at your own discretion, you confirm the account is yours, and you can remove them at any time by disconnecting the league. Section 1 of the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what those values are and how they are held.

The platforms' own rules. Using our tools and our Chrome extension alongside a fantasy platform does not change your agreement with that platform. You remain responsible for complying with its terms, and we are not responsible if a platform restricts or closes your account there.

Third-party platforms are outside our control. If a platform changes or restricts its API, some sync features may be affected.

We run the League Winner Rankings Game as two separate prediction competitions, one for points scoring and one for categories. You submit your own top-50 player rankings, and in each competition the entrant whose list is closest to the final board, measured by our published scoring method, wins a cash prize.

This section is a summary. The full rules live in the Rankings Game terms, and where anything here differs from them, those terms are the ones that apply.

• Eligibility. Open to registered members aged 18+. One entry per person per format. Employees and contractors of League Winner (and their immediate families) can't win.
• Skill, not chance. The Rankings Game is a game of skill. Winners are determined solely by the accuracy of their predictions. No element of chance decides the result.
• The prize. The prize amount, entry deadline and scoring method for each competition are published on the Service before entries open. Prizes are paid by PayID where the winner has one and by PayPal if not, within 5 days of the winner being confirmed.
• Ties. If two or more entries score equally, the entry submitted first wins, by recorded submission time. This is a fixed rule and not a random draw.
• Fair play. We may disqualify entries that are duplicated, automated, submitted after the deadline, or that otherwise breach these Terms. Our scoring determination is final.
• Availability. The Rankings Game is void where prohibited by law.

If you post content on the Service or in our Discord, such as rankings, analysis or messages:

• You keep ownership of it.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share that content on the Service and our social channels, so the community features can work.
• You agree not to post anything illegal, defamatory, abusive or that infringes someone else's rights. Our community rules apply in the Discord, and moderators may remove content or members at their discretion.

All rankings, projections, tools, software, branding and other content on the Service belong to League Winner (or our licensors, including contributing analysts). We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own fantasy leagues, not for commercial use or redistribution.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• the Service is provided "as is", and we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free;
• we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss (like lost winnings, lost profits or lost data); and
• our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that can't be excluded by law, including under the Australian Consumer Law, or liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, including scraping, credential sharing, or commercial misuse of our data. You may close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, liability, governing law) continue after termination.

We'll send you transactional emails about your account (logins, billing, important changes), and the reminders you specifically ask for, such as an email the night before a player you planned to stream is due to play. If you've opted in, we'll also send marketing emails like newsletters and product updates. You can unsubscribe from those anytime via the link in the email or your account settings, without affecting your membership.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify you by email or on the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
