How to use the NBA injury report in fantasy
Where does this NBA injury report come from?
The status and body part are Sleeper's player listings, read every night with the depth charts, and the rostered share is ESPN's. The last column comes from our NBA depth charts: when the first man in a column is out, the first healthy man behind him is marked as the one standing in.
What do out, day to day and game-time decision mean for fantasy basketball?
Out and injured reserve mean he is not expected to play, so start someone else. Day to day means he may play and is worth checking again before your lineup locks. A game-time decision is settled by the team on the night of the game.
How often is the injury report updated?
It is read again every night of the season, so a status that changed during the day is on the page by the next morning in most cases.
Who should I pick up when a starter is out?
The last column names the man the depth chart puts in the starter's place. The waiver wire page lists the pickups worth a claim this week, and the Weekly Slate counts how many games each team plays.
