Precious Achiuwa is starting for a Kings team that keeps losing forwards, and he is the frontcourt add of the week

Sacramento is 0-5, and the list of forwards it has lost since training camp explains a good part of that record and almost all of Precious Achiuwa's fantasy value. Ben Simmons, who had been expected to start, tore his right Achilles in practice three days before the opener and will miss the season, as the Associated Press reported and we covered at the time. Keegan Murray has been diagnosed with left ankle capsulitis and will be reevaluated in 10 to 14 days, according to Marc Stein's reporting as relayed by Kings Beat on October 27, and Maxime Raynaud is due to be reevaluated in about two weeks as he recovers from a right patellar subluxation suffered in the preseason. Achiuwa, who came off the bench in the first two games, has started all three since Murray went down.

The third of those starts was the best game of his season. He played 41 minutes in Thursday's 132-120 loss at New Orleans and finished with 24 points on 12-of-17 shooting, nine rebounds and four steals with one turnover, which our box score scores at 57 fantasy points under ESPN's standard scoring. Neither consensus board ranks him at all, while our boards now have him inside the top 120 on points, and this story sets out how much of that to trust and how long it is likely to last.

Every player in this story is on the fantasy basketball rankings and the 2026-27 projections, and the NBA depth charts show where each one stands in his team’s rotation tonight.
