Six 9-cat sleepers who win categories without the ball

Neemias Queta, Jaden McDaniels, Keegan Murray, Cason Wallace, Jalen Suggs and Dyson Daniels all score modestly and all rank well ahead of the consensus in categories leagues.

The most common mistake in a 9-cat draft is to draft for points. Scoring is one category of nine, and the players who score a lot usually take a lot of shots, turn the ball over and drag down one of the percentages, which is why so many high scorers rank lower in categories than they do in points leagues. The opposite is also true, and it is where 9-cat leagues are won: there is a group of players who score modestly but contribute steals, blocks, efficient shooting and few turnovers, and drafters consistently take them later than they should.
