Five Fantrax points-league sleepers, led by Zubac and Bam Adebayo

Fantrax's default scoring pays 1.25 a rebound and charges nothing for a missed shot, which lifts Ivica Zubac, Bam Adebayo, Rudy Gobert, Derik Queen and Jabari Smith Jr. well above the analysts' points consensus.

Fantrax's default points scoring, as our projections apply it, pays one point a point, 1.25 a rebound, 1.5 an assist and two for a steal or a block, and charges one for a turnover. It charges nothing for a missed shot or a missed free throw and pays nothing extra for a made three. Next to ESPN's default, which charges a point for every miss, two for a turnover and pays four for a steal or a block, that is a scoring system that rewards rebounding and steady volume and does not punish a player for the shots he misses. The analysts' points consensus is a blend built for points leagues in general, so on a Fantrax board it sits too low on exactly the players those rules favor.

Ranks from our projections board and the analysts' consensus, updated nightly.

We ranked our full projections under Fantrax's default and compared each player with his place on the analysts' points consensus. The five below are the players that comparison rates most highly among those likely to be drafted in a twelve-team league, leaving out the players we have already covered as points sleepers on ESPN and Yahoo. Ranks are as of mid-October, and our projections move nightly once games begin.
