- Strategy · ProHow to punt rebounds, and the all-guard build that punts blocks with itIgnoring rebounds moves Keyonte George from 66th to 36th on our 9-cat board and Darius Garland from 43rd to 21st, and punting blocks as well lifts Payton Pritchard and Immanuel Quickley into the top 25.
- Strategy · ProEvan Mobley is a 30th pick in standard 9-cat and a top-ten pick if you punt free throwsEvan Mobley's blocks, rebounds and 56% shooting make him 24th on our ESPN points board but only 30th in 9-cat, where 65% free throws cost him, and 10th once free throws are punted.
- Sleepers · ProFive Fantrax points-league sleepers, led by Zubac and Bam AdebayoFantrax's default scoring pays 1.25 a rebound and charges nothing for a missed shot, which lifts Ivica Zubac, Bam Adebayo, Rudy Gobert, Derik Queen and Jabari Smith Jr. well above the analysts' points consensus.
- BreakoutsFred VanVleet's return, and what it does to Reed Sheppard and Amen ThompsonVanVleet made five threes and seven assists in 24 minutes in his first game back from a torn ACL, and his return is likely to push Reed Sheppard into a sixth-man role in Houston.
About the Rockets depth chart
Houston Rockets depth chart for 2026-27 fantasy basketball
This is the Houston Rockets (HOU) depth chart for the 26-27 NBA season, position by position: who starts, who backs up, who is out and each player’s fantasy rank, read from Sleeper’s chart every night.
The Rockets’ first choices are Fred VanVleet at point guard, Bogdan Bogdanović at shooting guard, Amen Thompson at small forward, Kevin Durant at power forward and Clint Capela at center (standing in while Alperen Sengun is out).
Their best fantasy asset on our points projections is Alperen Sengun, ranked 13th, and Kevin Durant is 21st and Amen Thompson is 33rd.
Alperen Sengun, Reed Sheppard and Steven Adams are listed as unable to play.
To use this chart in a fantasy league, the NBA fantasy schedule counts how many games the Rockets play each week, the NBA fantasy trade analyzer prices a deal for any of them, and the fantasy basketball rankings set them against every other player in the league.
