The last weekend before the season added a handful of injuries that our final preseason injury report could not include, from the Orlando practice where Franz Wagner was still being evaluated for a right shoulder injury to the hamstring tear Noah Penda described on Sunday. This piece covers only what is new since that report, using the team updates Hoops Rumors collected on October 18 and Fantasy Alarm's injury report of October 15, and sets each player beside the games our projections give him. Stephen Curry's ankle and Ben Simmons' Achilles, both from Sunday afternoon, have pieces of their own.

Ranks from our projections board and the analysts' consensus, updated nightly.

So the table below carries the absences that had been announced by the morning of October 18, and it deliberately does not discount a player who is only questionable for the opener.
